Today we take the time out, to honor all the U.S. troops, those that have served for the United States of America on this soil and overseas. In fact, I know someone who serves his fellow man every day. He is a military chaplain, otherwise known as Minister in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Often overlooked, these military chaplains serve as a vital force in each branch of the military. As a chaplain, he willingly carries the burdens of the people he ministers to, without compromise. He brings comfort, godly counsel, and advice to people in crisis, or who may need a helping hand. His Source is Jesus Christ. And this godly Man is Chaplain Jumaane Green, a brother in Christ and a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He serves on a daily basis, with humility, as he gives all of the glory to the LORD. Even through trials and tribulations he surmounts obstacles with a loving heart and a smile (James 1:2-4, Isaiah 1:19). These are some Scriptures to remind us, about serving one another with The Love of Christ:
Matthew 22:36-39- “Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law?” Jesus replied to him: “And He replied to him, You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.
Mark 12:31- The second is like it and is this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. (AMP)
Luke 10:24-27- “Jesus said to him, What is written in the Law? How do you read it? And he replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. (AMP)
John-15:13 No one has greater love than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends. (AMP)
Below are additional Scriptures, for your study of the HOLY Word.
Additional Scriptures:
1 Corinthians 13:13- And so faith, hope, love abide [faith—conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope—joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love—true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.
James 1:2-4- Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing. (AMP)
Please keep the Troops in Prayer. Heavenly Father, we ask you to hear these petitions and grant us your mercy and forgiveness.
Thank you Lord, for Your protection around all of these fine men and women who serve abroad and on this soil. We thank you for protecting them and their families.
We thank you for sound minds and bodies, we thank You Jesus for the activity of their limbs and returning to us safely. In Your Almighty Name we pray, (in JESUS Name), Amen. CSB
